Professor

(Senior Member, IEEE) Sangsoon Lim received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Seoul National University, South Korea, in 2013. He is currently an Associate Professor in the College of Art and Technology at Chung-Ang University, South Korea. From 2017 to 2025, he served as a faculty member at Sungkyul University. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Engineer at Samsung Research (Seoul, South Korea) from 2013 to 2017, where he was involved in more than 10 mainstream projects and made significant contributions to the global IT industry. From August 2023 to July 2024, he was a Visiting Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada. His current research interests include Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Image Analysis, and Intelligent Computing. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Access, International Journal of Electronics, International Journal of Electronics Letters, and IET Wireless Sensor Systems. He also serves as an active reviewer for numerous well-reputed journals, including the IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Systems Journal, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, IEEE Access, IEEE Communications Letters, and the Journal of Network and Computer Applications (JNCA), among others.
