Professor

(Senior Member, IEEE) Sangsoon Lim received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Seoul National University, South Korea, in 2013. He is currently an Associate Professor in the College of Art and Technology at Chung-Ang University, South Korea. From 2017 to 2025, he served as a faculty member at Sungkyul University. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Engineer at Samsung Research (Seoul, South Korea) from 2013 to 2017, where he was involved in more than 10 mainstream projects and made significant contributions to the global IT industry. From August 2023 to July 2024, he was a Visiting Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada. His current research interests include Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Image Analysis, and Intelligent Computing. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Access, International Journal of Electronics, International Journal of Electronics Letters, and IET Wireless Sensor Systems. He is also an active reviewer for numerous well-reputed journals, including IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, IEEE Access, IEEE Communications Letters, Journal of Network and Computer Applications (JNCA), Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience (CCPE), and various MDPI journals such as Sensors, Biosensors, Informatics, Electronics, and Micromachines. He also reviews for Annals of Translational Medicine (ATM), Computers, Materials and Continua (CMC), Journal of Information and Communication Technology (JICT), and Collnet Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management, among others.
